A top competitor in vintage and club racing, Roger made his greatest contribution to the sport as founder of SPEEDVISION…which he sold to Fox. Now as SPEEDTV, it is the prime television venue for road racing. Coverage includes: F1, the Rolex Series, the ALMS, and the SCCA National Championship Runoffs. Roger is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business. Werner was president of ESPN through the ’80s and was instrumental in the dramatic increase in racing coverage on television, a significant factor in the spurt in popularity of motorsports in the U.S. during that decade.
