A multi-time SCCA Sports-Racing Champion began racing in 1952, driving a Crosley Special at Thompson Speedway. Over the next half dozen years, Igleheart was a regular at the tracks in and around New England driving the Crosley, an Austin-Healey 100, a Nardi ND4 Sypder, an O.S.C.A. 750 in which he scored 10 victories plus the occasional turn in a TR4. He is best known for the Bobsy Mk II he acquired in 1964, scoring podium finishes in the Bobsy at the Runoffs in 1964 and ’65. His crowning achievement was winning the H Sports Racing National Championship in the Bobsy at Daytona in 1967.  Igleheart drove a 1957 O.S.C.A. in vintage competition until his passing in 2012 at age 84.
