Scottish born, and racing since the age of 11 in karts; six-time Scottish champion and three-time British champion. Then progressed through Formula Junior, F3, F3000 (second in British championship) en route to sports car racing, LeMans 24-Hour and F1. Factory team driver for both Porsche and Audi. Twice LeMans 24-Hour winner (’98, ’08); four-time Sebring 12-Hour winner (’04, ’06, ’09, ’12); ’04 Nurburgring 1000k winner; three-time ALMS Champion (’00, ’06, ’07); four-time Petit LeMans winner (’00, ’06, ’07, ’08). Runner-up for the ’12 FIA World Endurance Championship. McNish is a sought-after television analyst.
